Inspired by the neighborhoods of Paris, Côte de Boeuf is Toronto’s local bistro bar à vin and traditional style butcher shop for the
Trinity-Bellwoods area and beyond.  

Our beef is locally sourced and butchered in house, old-way, by handsaw and our chefs make their own varieties of terrines and
foie gras.

All can be purchased at our shop or experienced straight from the butcher’s block through our selection of dining options: walk-ins at the Bar à Vin, reservations at our Butcher’s Table or privatization of the entire shop with dinner option at our Chef's Table.



Take a trip around France by the glass while sitting at our bar and discover Languedoc, Loire, Burgundy or Bordeaux in a cozy bistro ambiance. Here the room transforms itself and is the perfect place to decompress and ruminate.


Come sit at our zinc bar or wooden barrel tables and enjoy menus that offer lunch, dinner and apéro 7/7.


Try some of our French classics from our bistro menu - steak frites, tartar “au couteau”, escargots, crème brulée - or discover our daily changing chalkboard menus. 
Our knowledgeable staff can advise on pairings and our excellent wine lists include independent organic or natural producers.

The Butcher's Table comfortably accommodates groups of 6-8 persons Monday – Sunday (lunch and dinner).

The table’s menu is $95 per person, plus tax and 20% gratuity.

Due to high demand, we please ask that you call the shop with your group’s details (name, number, size of party, allergies, occasion, and credit card number) to book. Please note, we require 72 hours’ notice for cancellation or booking changes.

Old School

Once a week, our artisan butchers bring in locally sourced beef and pork over the shoulder - old school style - then hand sawed and butchered at the back of the shop.

Select a côte de boeuf, rib eye, NY strip, tenderloin, fresh ground beef or try our pork chops, bacon and house sausages — made fresh every week.

Our shop carries a fine selection of Canadian produce and we source our charcuterie from the Auvergne region, which is famous for its charcuterie and cheese. It is then hung in our window to dry and age to give it all the flavours of France. Our house made terrines and foie gras are the best in town!

A Parisian's Feast

Prep your palette with fresh oysters and a seafood tower; in house terrines followed by duck breast; culminating with the Côte de Boeuf and finishing off with selection of fine cheese and desert paired with a selection of fine French wines throughout the meal.

We comfortably accommodate groups of up to 16 for sit-down dining and up to 30 for cocktail parties.

As the table is in such high demand, we please ask that you call the shop with your group’s details (name, number, size of party, allergies, occasion, and credit card number) to book. We currently will only take bookings 6 weeks in advance and request that you give us 72 hours’ notice of cancellations or modifications to your booking.

To privatize, we do require:

$5,000 (plus tax and tip)
Monday – Thursday

$7,000 (plus tax and tip)
Friday – Sunday.
